Charit is a seasoned professional and author specializing in critical infrastructure security. Currently employed as a Head of Technical Assessments within the critical infrastructure industry, working across sectors such as oil and gas, utility, transport, telecom, mining, and broadcast. Holding a master’s degree in computer science and a host of professional certifications including IEC62443, CISSP, OSCP, CRTP, CRTO, BOSIET, C|EH, Security+, and CCNA.

With a comprehensive background in OT Red/Purple Teaming, Security Architecture, Risk Assessment, Internal Auditing, Security and Compliance/Security testing, Charit is proficient in assessing OT protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC, ICCP, and IEC-61850. Moreover, Charit excels in developing Design Documentations (FDS, DDS, Build) and conducting FAT/SAT Testing, contributing to the overall security and resilience of critical infrastructure systems.

Charit has practical experience with industry best practices standards and frameworks such as IEC 62443/ISA 99, NERC CIP, NIST SP800-82, NIST800-53, architecture frameworks (SABSA), cyber security tools and security technologies. Performed end to end industrial cyber security projects for various critical infrastructures across Middle East, Australia, UK, Europe, South East Asia and China.

Apart from this, Charit has authored 3 packet analysis books on how to use Wireshark for network security assessments and forensics exercises, titled “Mastering Wireshark”, “Wireshark Revealed” and “Wireshark 2”. One of his books has been translated to Mandarin as well.
